Sin Songs: Torch & Romance
Wilton's Music Hall is a bizarre place...Peeling and grotty on the outside, even more so on the inside. The stage resembles that of a run down village hall and the seating in the stalls more so again. None of this though could detract from an opening night Marc concert to be remembered. Packed full of new songs, liberally scattered with a goodly helping of early Mambas classics and dusted off with Jacques Brell, this was Marc in his very best singing voice - his, now almost, customary forgetting of lines to boot. The scariest moment of the night though had to be seeing "Baby Gee" (where "Gee" most likely stands for "Graham" or something similar) - sporting long ginger hair frizzed, wearing a long purple knitted cardigan, leopard effect trousers and hob nail boots - playing the Harp. You only get that kind of entertainment with Marc Almond.
Facebook stalking
Who is this Kimberly Brown anyway ? She pokes me (whatever that is) and messages me, but I don't know who you are ? It also seems that facebook is becoming the new friendsreunited - an old gothy girlfriend got in touch this week - too scary as it reminds me how old I am, she has a granddaughter now - but then she was a catholic
Marc Night
Well tonight is the night... Marc Almond playing at Wilton's Music Hall and I have front row seats. A dirty downtrodden rather scruffy around the edges venue is just perfect for a Marc concert and certainly much more condusive to a good night out than when he played at Indigo a few months back. I know you're all dying for some pictures so I'll upload some after the event.
